Beeswax allergy = no makeup

I'm freaking out... I 'suspect' that I am allergic to beeswax since my lips had been acting up when I use lip products that has cera alba (beeswax) in it... but upon more research... almost all makeup I own has beeswax in it.. ie lipsticks and lipbalms, mascaras, blushes and others... (I'm still researching...)

Ugh...

I'm going to get a paper bag and put it over my face so I don't have to see myself with redness all over.... (JK)

Need to book an appointment with an allergist...

Glymm box: February 2012

Interestingly enough, this month Glymm box arrived one day after my Luxe box~ :)

I got 4 products this month, 1 full size eyeshadow, 1 full size lip balm and 2 samples (1 of which I would say is not deluxe...)

My box was so light this month, I thought maybe they forgot to put things in there, once again, no candy 

It feels like I got my money's worth this month, since the two full-sized products add up to almost $16. Unfortunately, due to my recently acquired allergy to beeswax(maybe?!?!), I cannot use the Burt's Bee lip balm.

Very cute packing, just wish I could use it T^T

This is the second Sula product I received and I'm happy it's a shadow with a  pretty shade :)

I find myself curious about this mud mask, I've never tried them before, I just hope it won't irritate my skin!

Blot/bronzing paper? hmm... interesting, but really? in a packet like that and it's a deluxe sample? I guess it does cost $0.24 per sheet plus the plastic bag and the little intro card -__-

Overall it is an interesting box this month with more cosmetics than previous boxes :)

Recap, in my Feb Glymm box I received the following: 

• full size Sula Natural shadow in Smokes and Mirror (0.15 oz)
• full size Burt's Bees Tinted Lip balm in Hibiscus (4.25g)
• deluxe sample of Glamglow Tingling and Exfoliating Mud Mask (0.24 oz)
• a couple sheets of Mai Couture 2-1 Oil Blotting/Bronzing Papier

This month's box is another B because I do like the fact that they are including more makeup but most of the products were really 'meh.' Unfortunately, I have cancelled this box and next month's box will be my last...

Presidents day weekend: Mini Lancome haul

Hello beauties!

When I went to the states this past weekend I picked up some goodies at DF & CCO near my gf's place and here is my mini haul~

Singles e/s in Center Stage, Sew Elegant and Clock Strikes
E/S palette in Primrose darling

The single shadows were only $4.05 each and the palette was $17.20. :) Can't believe I got out there spending less than $30! Such a steal!

But... I did dent up my MU budget some more... now sitting at almost 40% used... and not even 2 months went by...

Loose Button Luxe Box: February 2012

This month's Luxe box arrived later than usual... but it's okay, because I was busy last week anyways! :) For Feb, Loose Button collaborated with Flare magazine to bring us this pretty red box... Here are the goodies I received~

Although this was a repeat, I was really quite happy to get it again because I am still too cheap to go out and get the full size, yet I adore this product! 

Quite excited to see how this would turn out since I like the face moisturizer I have high hopes for the body lotion ^_^

Being a collector, I'm really loving these miniature perfume bottles in my monthly boxes. I know that on average these little guys cost between $5 to $12 so in my books, it really added value to my subscription.

I thought the Lise Watier mascara tube is cute, but I'm not sure when I will get to using this since I still have so many unopened deluxe samples~

I'm currently using a Joico conditioner and I really like its smell and how soft my hair is after I use it, so this is another product I'm looking forward to using :)

In my Feb Luxe box:

• miniature bottle of DKNY PureDKNY Verbena (7ml)
• deluxe sample of Mèdadesso beautiful body balm 
• deluxe sample of Mèdadesso face and neck toning gel (yeah!!!!) (7ml)
• deluxe sample of Lise Watier 24 hours glam mascara 

Overall, this month's luxe box was worth the wait. I really like everything that I received (except for all those cards, such a waste of paper.) It's another A for me this month, so I'm keeping my subscription once again

Nope... no self-control what-so-ever. Got the VIB gift from Nars email and I instantly knew I will be making a trip to Sephora... Death trap... seriously... 

To get the Nars goodies... you had to make a purchase of at least $35... So I got the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour blush in Exposed and a Sephora trio eyeshadow/highlighter.

Inside the cute pouch was a mini Nars bronzing powder in Laguna, liquid illuminator in Orgasm and a smudge proof eyeshadow base. I wanted to try the bronzer but I didn't want to get the full size because I am still learning to contour properly... I also figured that if I give up on contouring I can use it as an e/s ;)

Paul & Joe @ Urban Outfitters

I'm a cat fanatic who is also obsessed with make up... so imagine how ecstatic I was when I found out that the Paul & Joe's Spring 2012 edition had kitties in it! My only problem is... where can I get them in Canada?

I have not seen them at any stores, and I had trouble finding any Canadian dealers that sells the beauty line... but then I found the Urban Outfitters website selling them at a reasonable price (for limited edition collection.) I just wish their shipping wasn't so outrageously pricey! $40 to Canada... *sigh* there are times I wish I was living in the states (but still being Canadian of course!)

Even with my MU budget, I want to get these...

HELP!

Help me decide if I should stick to my budget... As in is it realistic for me to do or would I likely lose my mind?

A brief history of my MU spending:

• In 2011, I regularly spend about $150 a month on MU
• If there were warehouse sales, I do about $300 damage at each sale... (ie. MAC, Shiseido, Lisa Cosmetic)
• I think I spend more than $2k last year...
• I was on a 5 day no makeup bet with a friend last month... and when I was done I end up splurging on MU after... 
• I've already spent almost 27% of my budget this year and only 1 month has passed -__-

Would mean a lot to me if you help me with the poll <--
