Topbox April 2013

So hard to say goodbye...

I've quite enjoyed my Topbox subscription in the past few months, unfortunately, due to the excess samples I've received from all my monthly subscriptions, I forced myself to one sub max. Topbox did not make the cut, and this is my last box. :(

I received a regular box that consists of:

• Elizabeth Arden All Gone Eye and Lip Makeup Remover (50ml)
• Michael Todd True Organics Tropical Fruit Enzyme Exfoliant Scrub (30ml)
• KMS California Free Shape Quick Blow Dry Spray (30ml)
• Narciso rodriguez for her eau de toilette (4ml) <-- :="" but="" fond="" found="" her="" i="" is="" it="" li="" m="" not="" of="" perfume="" sending="" so="" someone="" this="" to="" who="">

Overall, this was not a bad box, since I can use everything or find someone who likes them. It's a very decent priced box, but just did not consistently win my heart. Who knows, I may go back to Topbox in the future, just not really in the rush to get back~

Side note: I really like Topbox's customer service, I had a broken Pure + Simple blush and this time they sent me a new one, unfortunately, it broke again. I've contacted customer service to let them know about it, and they said they'd send me something else. So we will see ^_^

Topbox February 2013

How happy are you to receive your Topbox this month? I know I was ecstatic! :) Even though I already own 4 of the products I've received, I'm still super glad to get the deluxe samples. I enjoyed them that much. :) It seems everyone so far has gotten the Benefit box privé~  Here's what's in it:

I love how it's Chinese New Year themed, yet the pinks and reds reminds us more of Valentine's day. Clever! :)

I love this primer and I'm so happy to get another deluxe sample of this :)

I was looking forward to receiving the Benetint in my box this month, because I wanted to put it in my purse. Perfect companion for everyday makeup looks~

This is one of the products I have not yet tried, but I am looking forward to it. So far my only impression is: beautiful packaging. Let's hope I enjoy this as much as the rest of the Benefit products I've tried :)

I got the Dandelion powder as a Sephora point perk bonus and really enjoyed the scent of it. It's a lovely subtle highlighter that gives a hint of glow on your face. I have not yet tried this gloss, but I really enjoyed the Coralista one, so I'm sure I'd like this too :)

I had just purchased the full size last week at SDM for $15, not yet tried, but looking forward to trying out this blush/lip product~

I was swept off my feet with this month's Topbox. This is by far my favourite subscription box. Even though there were no full sizes, Topbox was able to deliver multiple deluxe samples that were amazing. :) I am looking forward to see what Topbox has to offer in March and I'm super excited! :)  

Topbox January 2013

This month's topbox was Clinique themed. I was quite surprised at how much I liked this month's box. I guess I can't really unsubscribe now~ after all, my affair with makeup did start with Clinique, it can't possibly end here... :) In any case, onto the products!

• Clinique Clarifying Lotion in 3 for Combination Oily skin
• Rinse Off Eye Makeup Solvent
• Colour Surge Eye Shadow Duo in Strawberry Fudge
• Repairwear Laser Focus Wrinkle & UV Damage Corrector

I thought this was a quite nice box. I was very happy to receive a product specific for my skintone, it gave it a more personal touch.

I guess I am sticking with Topbox for another month :) What do you think about this month's box?

Topbox December 2012

Chloé - Eau de Parfum (5ml) another mini bottle of Chloé... I guess I don't need to buy the big bottle~~ haha~
Ferro Cosmetics - Glow Baby Pure Mineral Bronzer (premium sample) I got a pretty decent sample size of their bronzer in Glow baby glow. On their website, this colour is said to add 'a healthy glow' to the skin instead of being a bronzing shade. I will test this out once I get the courage to deal with the messiness :)
Goldwell - Jelly Boost (30ml) this is a spray gel for short hair... Perhaps my hub can use it? Or if I ever chop off my hair~~ The hold on this is a medium :|
Kellett Skincare - Clarifying Acne Treatment (3ml x 2 samples) Kellett Skincare is a Canadian company that has a line of products created to treat adult acne. The gel that I got is for treating of existing blemishes in 'affected areas'. The active ingredient is Benzoyl Peroxide.

Overall, not a very exciting month :| I didn't find it too bad a box, if you didn't have any other subscriptions. I liked that it introduced me to some new brands and products, but there were nothing that had that umph~ I think I do prefer this over my Luxebox... (post is coming up soon~~) How do you feel about your December boxes so far? Nothing is really screaming holidays for me~~ :( booh, I was looking forward to something more festive~~

Topbox November 2012

Hello lovelies!

I was excited to finally be able to subscribe to Topbox. For the month of November I got box 6 and these were the products I was greeted with.

Contents emptied, what remains is very little packing material... which I liked :) It's a little more environmentally friendly.

First impression: not a bad box. I was slightly disappointed to get a mascara... In fact I really didn't need another one... I have too many I can't use up, and I received the same deluxe sample from Sephora that I haven't used yet. Aside from this one thing, I like the rest of the box. I got a very pretty teal colour nail polish that goes perfectly with my wedding theme (as tempting as it is, I doubt I'd wear it for the reception.) I also got a very sweet scented body/hand cream that is just the right size to fit in my mu bag, only complaint about that is the cap, I'm scared that it'd come off too easily and the products gets everywhere in the bag. Lastly, I got a mini parfume bottle, which is a lovely addition to my growing minis. :) For $12(plus tax), this month's box is definitely getting an A from me :) Looking forward to seeing December's.

I heard that there were variance with the boxes, but so far the only difference I've seen around is the MUFE eyeliner as well as a different colour of nail polish... but that's it. What did you get in your box? :)
