Bobbi-to-Go Sephora 500 VIB points perk

Good things come in small packages :) I could barely contain my excitement when I found out that Sephora had this awesome little Bobbi Brown to go kit for grabs! I checked my points twice to make sure I qualified and was ecstatic when I got my hands on it.  

It contains almost everything you need on the go:

• 4 lovely neutral eyeshadows (Bone, Heather Mauve, Saddle, Mahogany) first impressions: Bone was a colour that blended into my lid colour, Heather Mauve is as gorgeous in the pan as it is on the lid and Mahogany was an nice warm brown. Did not get to try Saddle yet. All the eyeshadows were very buttery!
• blush (Pale Pink) - first impression: for such a bright colour in the pan, this blush was surprisingly wearable, and I was able to apply it with my fingers, though would prefer using a brush.
• Intensifying Long-Wear Mascara - first impression: what a tiny brush! However, it is able to getevery single lash from root to the very ends. Does not clump and separates lashes very well, but see minimal lengthening or volumizing. Lashes still feel soft with mascara on.
• eye cream, lovely addition to any eye cream addict's collection - first impression: performance of product was neutral, did not find it exceptionally hydrating.

So overall, I'm super happy with this, and am looking forward to carrying this around with me.

SDM Fall Beauty Bonus 2013

If you guessed that part of the goodies from yesterdays' post was SDM's fall beauty bonus, then you were correct! 

On an unsuspecting Tuesday evening, my girlfriend and I fell victim to the awesome SDM 18,500 point deal, plus got the bonus that came along if you spent over xxx amount.... We both accomplished the mission and the goodies bag that we brought home that night contained the following: 

1. Benefit Cosmetics - the PoreFessional 3ml ** tried it an am currently overfilled with these samples in my stash
2. Clinique - high impact mascara 4ml ** tried it before and it does not work for my oily lids, but is great for those without my problem, it give full lashes
3. Lancome - Visionnaire advanced skin corrector 7ml ** I haven't tried this, but I did use the Genifique and thought that was okay. I have higher hope for this because I recall a few gurus who raved about it
4. Biotherm - anti-drying body care with citrus essences 20ml ** tried it before, not a big fan of it, but it is an excellent travel-size, I am partial to it's scent
5. Clarins - HydraQuench Cream-Mask for dehydrated skin 5ml ** I own the full-size of this and is thrilled to receive a deluxe sample! Looking forward to bringing to myski trip this year to replenish my skins moisture after snowboarding~
6. Bourjois - Volume glamour max mascara 6ml
7. Korres - Antiageing and antiwrinkle eye cream 7ml ** I love seeing eye cream samples, because I am forever in search of the right eye cream to treat my many issues and wrinkle prevention is definitely one of them!
8. Cover FX - SPF 30 Protection primer 5ml
9. Elizabeth Arden - Anti-aging + intensive repair daily serum 5ml
10. Estee Lauder - Modern Muse eau de parfum 2.9ml
11. Fusion Beauty - anti-wrinkle primer 10ml
12. Lab Series - Age Rescue Face Lotion plus ginseng 30ml ** husband tried it and thought it was alright, I didn't like the scent though
13. StriVectin-AR - Advanced Retinol eye treatment 5ml
14. Bioderma - Sensibio H2O Solution Micellaire 100ml ** Own full-size and have two miniature. This is not something you want to be without, especially if you go camping~ 
15. La Roche Posay Physiological Foaming Water 50ml
16. Neostrata - Intense Wrinkle Repair Moisturizing cream 7ml
17. Smashbox - Photofinished foundation primer 7ml ** it's an okay primer, I prefer the benefit one over this
18. Lab Series - Age Rescue Face Lotion plus ginseng 30ml (ding ding ding! I got an extra for the man!)

I've tried a few things on this list and am mostly glad with the samples I received. The few that I know doesn't work for me will go to better homes ^_^ Overall, I'm a happy camper and feels that this is almost better than the Bobbi Brown... almost... ^_^

Freebies collected during September and October

BAMM!

I hoarded a bunch of stuff this past two months and decided to show them all at once now... Although, I'm still waiting for my Mario Badesco samples that has not yet arrived :( booh!

Anyways... Do you recognize any of the products and when I could have gotten them? :)

These are samples accumulated from Sephora, SDM, Shu Uemura, P&G (I think...), Colgate, Kiehl's, Korres, Tony Moly and The Face Shop :) Now, I can finally start using them! :)

Also, I technically got these free lippies (UD and Giorgio Armani) in September... but they had their separate post because it was just too awesome not to share them instantly~

Lipstick Freebies

I've acquired two lipstick samples this past week and I thought I'd share some pictures of them with you. They are the Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Catfight and the Giorgio Armani Rouge Ecstasy in 400 Red Four Hundred (I'm not repeating myself... that the name of the colour!)

I had to redeem 100 Sephora perk points for the UD lipstick (so I guess it's not really free...) but for the Armani, I just had to show up at Holt Renfrew on Bloor to pick up the deluxe Rouge Ecstasy mini.

I love how the Giorgio Armani card has the ingredient listed on the back... but I also like how the Urban Decay has a list of the different colours on their info card...

I haven't had the heart to swatch them yet... unless you really insist ;)

Neutrogena Freebies~

A couple weeks ago, Neutrogena was giving out free samples, all you had to do was sign up and select the freebies and it will be mailed to you. I finally got mine last week and these were the samples I received:

• All-in-one make-up removing cleansing wipes - 7 wipes
• Ultra gentle daily cleanser foaming formula - 14ml
• Beach defense sunscreen lotion SPF 60 - 29ml
• Healthy defense daily moisturizer SPF 45 -7ml
• Triple protect face lotion SPF 20 - 14ml

I can't believe the size of the samples and like most people, I felt that this was better than most of the beauty subscription boxes available to Canadian these days. The best past was that it cost nothing. Thank you Neutrogena for the awesome goodies~ ^_^
