September Glossybox 2012 Canada

September ended off with a real treat for me, my Glossybox came in and I was so shocked and happy! :) Finally an awesome full-size product in my monthly subscription! I'm also quite excited with the other products included in this month's box such as the Wella hair serum and the B. Kamins lipbalm. I can really say, it is the best box yet.

In any case, onto the 'Red Carpet Ready' Glossybox which for me included:

I love all those neutral colours, eM thinks this palette was impressive as well

Helena is just so gorgeous with the red hair. Still reminds me of the Red Queen. 

I'm sure we all know it's an 'A+' for me this month. Loving that palette! I enjoy Tim Burton movies, and was glad to get a palette inspired by one of his movies. I watched Dark Shadows the same night I got this box :)

I got more than my subscriptions worth this month and I actually like the things I got. This is definately an A for me! It would have had a plus if I wasn't so sad (at the time) about the "Reserve your product" thing. I saw the email 1 hour after it was received and the two things I wanted were already all out... I'm also a very tiny bit disappointed about something else, the trend of no candies this year :( On a brighter note, I cannot wait to try these things out! Look forward to my updates (if I am not too lazy!)

Due to being a lazy person, I won't be creating a separate post for the newly acquired NYX eye shadow in Toffee Shimmer, so I decided to tag this along this post. 

NYX e/s in Toffee Shimmer

Alright. I did some swatches this weekend of my new e/s and I just thought I'd share with everyone. The first swatch is actually of NYX Jumbo eye pencil in cottage cheese, 2nd swatch is of toffee shimmer on the jumbo pencil and the last is toffee shimmer by itself.

The color of this eyeshadow is very pretty and shows up on it's own (without primer or base). The texture of the shadow is too soft (I ruined one of the pyramids on first use) and there is also a lot of fallout (my face was completely covered in shimmer.) I'm not sure if I'd purchase a NYX e/s if they are all like this since the glitter took a lot of effort to get off my face. 

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil Swatches

I was at Rexall last week to pick up my bf's prescriptions when I stumbled upon the NYX sections... I have previously purchased it in Cottage Cheese and really loved it, so now I want to purchase a few more colours :) Unfortunately, not all colours were available at this particular location, so I only got swatches of the ones they had testers.

Oh and I have to mention that I wiped off the second swatch from the left because it was a lip colour instead of the eye... haha.. Poor planning~ Sorry~

I know I am in loved with Iced Mocha, it looks like a nice colour I can wear daily and I think Pots and Pans would be a great eye brightener... Will be placing order on eBay soon! Any recommendations? :)

Oh, I would like to mention one thing, the staying power on these after they have dried is excellent. I left it on my arms for a few hours then went to shower and most of the colours stayed almost as vibrant as they were before... Soap could not remove it all, I needed makeup remover XD

Bday (makeup) gifts from Eh-Lynn and Roni! XD

Surprise on Tuesday meet :) My awesome friends gave me some very pretty and much look forward to gifts! :D

Roni got me the NYX Glitter Cream Palette in Pretty in Pink and Ocean Breeze! They look so pretty and fun I can't wait to use them, especially the pink colours!!!! I will attempt to make the dressy glittery shadows a little more 'subtle' as a challenge :D but the good news is... Halloween is almost here and that gives me the oppurtunity to go crazy with colours! ;)

Alan and I plus a group of us went on a shopping spree a week ago and he got this big makeup set for his mom while part of it.... was given to me ^____^.... this included samples for 3 lipsticks, 2 lip gloss, a mascara primer and a full size Hypnose mascara from Lancome. He also added eye makeup remover pads from Physicians Formula (whish smells like Lavender) and a Bonnebell eyeshadow palette in Girlie Pink....

Wait a sec... what's with all this Pink stuff!?! haha.. I guess I come off as a girlie girl, regardless I'm looking forward to trying them out cuz they are pretty!!! :)

Side note : I used the eye makeup remover pads yesterday and I'm surprised that the scented pads did not irritate my eyes... Although I had to use 1 pad per eye, it did a pretty good job at removing the mascara + eyeshadow + eye primer for each eye... Will test it out further to see if my sensitive decides to react to it later~
