NOTD: China Glaze Crushed Candy

I got the China Glaze Crackle in Crushed Candy in my October Luxe box and HAD to try it out asap... so here I matched it with my Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in Black Out... What do you think?? I am really loving this turquoise colour!! And I think that products like Crackle is made for people like me who has trouble applying nail polish on properly... because I messed up 4 fingers and I didn't have to redo any of them because the crackle nail polish covered it XD Win for messy nails!~

Loose Button Luxe box: October 2011

I received an email last Friday when Loose Button shipped this out... and I received my surprise on Monday :) I'm happy that this time it didn't come in a bubble wrap pack because the mail lady would have 'stuffed' it in my mailbox like she did last time and partially ruined a corner from my September box. In any case... let's begin un-boxing this!

Now... Let's see the samples I got this time!

Review of products from September Luxebox

So I finally got to try out all of my September Luxebox items, and here are my reviews about each~

To refresh our memory, here's what I got:

My favourite item is the Mèreadesso face and neck toning gel.

I whole-heartedly loved it. It allowed me to be lazy and makes my skin look good. It is a two-in-one lotion that tones and moisturises. I like how it absorbs quickly and it did not leave my face oily as the day goes by... I have no complaints about this except that initially, the scent put me off... I am very sensitive to smell and this lotion has a unique scent to it, although gradually I got used to it. The only other downside to this (as I have mentioned countless times) is the price. Seriously considering buying a full-sized bottle...

Next is the City Lips by City Cosmetics in Nude York

I'm not the biggest fan of lip gloss because I do not like the sticky feeling and this will make your lips feel sticky... The thing I noticed about this product is that immediately after application, you will feel a slight tingly sensation on your lips followed by instantly more plump and hydrated looking lips. This effect lasted me quite a few hours basically until it has been chewed off my lips... (remember my problem with lipsticks?) This product does deliver instant result (fuller lips), but I'm not sure about the long-term effect as I do not use this consistently. Anyway, would like to add that it adds a beautiful shine over my natural lip colour which I like and if not for the stickiness, I think I could love this! Also, because of my limited experience with lip gloss, I found the applicator for this product amusing... It reminds me of nail polish brush, which tempted me to apply this on my nails ^_^

Next, is the Moroccanoil, the original Oil Treatment.

I like the gentle smell of this product, but I'm sad to say that it has not really done much to improve the condition of my hair. I've used it after 2 washes and it didn't show results, so I'm putting it away for now. Perhaps my hair is just too damaged for this to be effective... or am I using it wrong? I guess I just prefer using John Frieda's Frizz-Ease hair serum...

and... finally the Laura Mercier Perfecting Water- Rich

I knew I shouldn't have tried this out... I broke out in tiny pimples and I am still trying to recover from the forehead and chin breakouts  =( this is definitely not for people with oily skin (why didn't I trust my intuition!) But... I've read several reviews that say that it is really good for dry to normal skin, so I will be giving this out to an auntie for her to try, will report back on how well this worked for her if she gets to it :)

Mini UD Haul from Hautelook~

I've been MIA from my MU blog for a while... I got busy >.< so... here's a quick post about a recent haul I placed with Hautelook, enjoy!

I placed this order before I was engaged... maybe I knew that it was coming ^_^ I'm psychotic! I mean... psychic! Anyhow, I bought the UD Urban Bride set, as well as some UD cream eyeshadows and liquid liners... The subtotal came to 60$, which I thought was a bargain for so much UD products~ Now onto some pictures (swatches to come later!):

Randomness from the month of September

Here's a bunch of random pictures I took last month that I didn't get to write a post about, but would still like to share, even though the month is over. Here we go!

These are the products that I brought to our mini Tobermory trip. I got to try the Mèreadesso Face + Neck Toning Gel that I got in my September Luxebox and I really liked it. There was enough product to last me 2 weeks! I love how it absorbs quickly, as well as saving time having only one application for two functions and my skin felt great. Also, as a bonus it did not grease up my face. I am currently contemplating forking out $120 for the 50mL bottle... Any thoughts??

oooh! I also started using my prescription med for my acne, and so far so good... :) it seems benzol peroxide works for me :)

eM's dad won this makeup gift basket at a school reunion dinner and he gave it to me :) It contains a bunch of Lancome goodies selected and sponsored by Marlene Lai :) such an awesome prize, I wuv it! It consisted of 2 full sized products (liner and mascara) and a lot of deluxe sample size items~

While I was on my Atlanta trip, I was introduced to the world of Pandora jewellery... and I purchased my first bracelet: 3 charms plus a safety chain~ I wanted a more neutral colour bracelet that I can wear on a daily basis. What do you think about my selection? What should be next? I find that the 3 charms move around a lot and I probably need clips, but... they are so big and bulky...

And for fun... this is a very special box given to me on September 17th :) I heart the bow~ haha...
